The Great Barrier Reef

  The Great barrier Reef is a large chain of coral reefs and small islands off the northeastern coast of Australia, about 150 miles away from the coast. It's about 1,250 miles long, covering about 80,000 square miles. Many plants and animals, such as sea cucumbers, oysters, and starfish, live in the reef. There are also many fishm such as down fish and sharks, as well as mammals, such as dolphins ans whales.

  The coral comes in many shapes and sizes. It could be spiky, smooth, wiggly, or sharp, yellow, orange, blue, green, red, indigo, and pink. Different corals form by different dead organisms building up.
